Shatter, how is it made?
It is the pure result of a extraction , carried out with or without solvent, worthy of the greatest scientists!
Shatter or wax are types of extraction produced most of the time via a solvent-based method, known as BHO.
The butane, acting as a solvent, then dissolves the essential oils and other soluble compounds of the plant. The plant matter and other membranes containing the resin are left behind as "waste". The BHO empties the trichomes of their oils, leaving behind the cell membranes and other organic reservoirs. This results in what is considered the “purest” form of concentrate.
The flowers and waste, once dried, are placed in a tube and butane is then introduced into it. In fact, the butane empties the plant material of the cannabinoids and other desirable elements. The butane is then purged and allowed to evaporate to remove any residue.
